Position Summary: Wellness Space Brands is seeking a mid-level Web Developer to build and improve the internal tools and integrations used by our customer support team. This position works closely with support leaders to identify workflow challenges, prioritize requests, and deliver practical solutions in PHP, Java Script, and MySQL. The ideal candidate combines hands-on web development experience with direct customer support experience and can respond quickly to day-to-day operational needs. About Wellness Space Brands Wellness Space Brands designs and manufactures experiential wellness products that support physical recovery, relaxation, and mental well-being. Our product portfolio includes Hydro Massage, Cryo Lounge+, Relax Space, Polar Wave, and Red Zone Sauna. From heated water massage and dry cold recovery to relaxation and red-light wellness experiences, our team develops equipment used in fitness clubs, universities, hospitality settings, corporate wellness programs, multifamily communities, chiropractic practices, spas, and homes.
Key Responsibilities: · Build, enhance, and maintain internal tools and integrations that support customer service operations.· Partner with customer support leaders to understand workflow pain points and recommend practical improvements.· Receive, evaluate, and prioritize requests from the customer support team based on urgency and business impact.· Maintain existing support tools developed in PHP, Java Script, and MySQL.· Develop API integrations between ticketing, customer service, and other business systems.· Write and maintain automated tests for new and existing tools.· Troubleshoot defects, document solutions, and support reliable day-to-day operation of internal applications.· Communicate progress, tradeoffs, and technical recommendations clearly to nontechnical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: · At least 3 years of relevant web development experience.· Hands-on experience with HTML, Java Script, PHP, and MySQL.· Direct customer-facing support experience, not solely experience providing technical support to a support department.· Fluent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical colleagues.· Strong organization and follow-through, including the ability to acknowledge or respond to support team requests within the same business day.· Comfort writing and maintaining plain PHP and Java Script without relying on a framework.· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in an on-site environment.
Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with ticketing or customer support platforms such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Hub Spot.· Experience building and maintaining API integrations between business applications.· Automated testing experience with tools such as PHPUnit or Java Script testing frameworks.· Regular, responsible use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Codex, or Git Hub Copilot.
What Success Looks Like: · Reliable tools and integrations that reduce friction for the customer support team.· Clear prioritization and timely communication when support requests compete for attention.· Maintainable code and automated tests that support stable day-to-day operations.· Strong working relationships with support leaders and practical solutions grounded in customer service workflows. Work Environment: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Clearwater, Florida facility. The role involves focused development work as well as regular collaboration with customer support leaders and other internal teams. Local candidates or candidates able to reliably commute to Clearwater are preferred.
