Ecommerce Marketplace Manager (Amazon Experience Essential)New York (Hybrid)We're partnering with a heritage consumer brand to recruit a Marketplace Manager who will take ownership of the commercial performance across key online retail marketplaces. This is a commercially focused role with full accountability for driving marketplace growth, profitability and execution. You'll own the commercial strategy, manage a specialist external agency, and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to drive performance across multiple digital retail channels.
What You'll Be Doing: Commercial Ownership Own marketplace performance, delivering revenue, profitability and growth targets. Develop and execute commercial strategies across leading online marketplaces. Allocate investment across retail media, promotions and inventory to maximise ROI.Protect pricing integrity and ensure marketplace compliance. Agency Management Lead the relationship with an external marketplace agency. Set priorities, review performance and hold partners accountable for delivery. Challenge strategy, identify opportunities and ensure execution is delivered to a high standard. Retail Media & Growth Own marketplace advertising strategy across paid search, display and programmatic media. Manage performance against key commercial metrics, including ROAS and TACoS.Lead planning for major promotional events including Prime Day and Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Identify new growth opportunities across existing and emerging marketplace platforms. Digital Shelf & Operations Optimise product listings, enhanced content and branded storefronts. Ensure catalogue health, listing compliance and best-in-class marketplace execution. Partner with Supply Chain to maintain strong in-stock performance and accurate forecasting. Work closely with Finance to improve pricing, margins and promotional funding.
About You: We're looking for someone who has successfully managed marketplace businesses within a consumer brand and enjoys owning commercial performance rather than simply executing activity. You'll be commercially minded, analytical and confident influencing both internal stakeholders and external agency partners. You'll ideally have: Experience managing Amazon Vendor Central (1P) within a consumer or CPG business. Strong knowledge of Amazon Advertising alongside other major retail media platforms. Experience managing agencies or external partners. Commercial ownership of marketplace P&L and performance. Strong analytical skills with experience using marketplace analytics tools and advanced Excel. A hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail.
