About the role
A well-established medical device contract manufacturer specializing in metals, plastics, and full device assemblies is looking to add a Key Account Manager to their commercial team. This is a relationship-driven role focused on managing and growing a portfolio of two to four OEM accounts by driving revenue, deepening strategic relationships, and identifying new opportunities within each account. The company serves clients across the medical device industry and has a strong track record of partnering with some of the largest OEMs in the space. The right candidate understands the CDMO sales cycle, knows how to build relationships at multiple levels within an account, and is motivated by hitting goals in an environment where performance is rewarded.
Day-to-Day
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of OEM accounts with full commercial responsibility Drive revenue growth and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers across engineering, operations, supply chain, and procurement Develop account roadmaps and strategic growth plans for each assigned customer Identify the strategic network within accounts and map out paths to expand the relationship Collaborate cross-functionally with internal operations, quoting, and program management teams to ensure client satisfaction Maintain accurate CRM activity and pipeline reporting Represent the company at customer sites and industry events as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum 3-6 years of experience in technical sales or key account management in the medical device or life sciences space Experience selling CDMO or contract manufacturing services into OEM accounts strongly preferred Familiarity with precision metals, plastics, or full device assembly manufacturing a strong plus Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts Comfortable engaging with engineering, operations, and supply chain stakeholders at the OEM level Strong communication and relationship building skills Experience with CRM tools and data-driven account planning Ability to travel to customer sites as needed Bachelor's degree preferred
