About the role

Apex is hiring an experienced Strategic Partnerships lead who has built and managed lender relationships in commercial finance. You'll bring lenders onto the Apex platform and grow our lender partnerships, working with our team on lender onboarding and deal matching. Apex (https://useapex.com) matches financing opportunities with private credit lenders. This role is focused on the lender side of that marketplace, and suits someone with a clear track record of building lender relationships and getting lenders to work with new partners.
What you'll do:
  • Identify and develop relationships with lenders, including private credit funds, debt funds, banks, specialty finance companies and bridge lenders.
  • Understand each lender's lending criteria and gather enough information to match them with the right financing opportunities.
  • Work with Apex's team on lender onboarding and follow-up as deals progress.
  • Manage your lender pipeline and maintain the lender relationship from first conversation through closed transactions.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience in capital markets, lender relations, debt advisory, brokerage or business development at a lender, bank, debt fund or specialty finance firm.
  • Direct relationships with lenders or capital providers, with a realistic plan for bringing them to Apex.
  • An understanding of lender criteria and how to assess whether a financing request fits a lender's appetite.
  • The ability to work independently and enough availability to manage your lender pipeline and follow-up.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
