Position Overview: OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. The Machine Operator uses Cold Heading, Roll Threading, Pointing and Cellular Manufacturing to produce parts according to specifications and Kanban card requirements. The Machine Operator must be a team player and committed to delivering only the best quality to our customers.
Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in cold heading, pointing, and/or threading preferred. Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers. Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, blueprints, quality specifications, and other related documents. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills. Ability to contribute as part of a team. Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills. Strong sense of responsibility and ownership. Positive can-do attitude.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices. Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch. Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently. The position requires the ability to regularly stand. The position requires good close vision and depth perception skills. Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds. Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation. Robust Safety Team to prioritize your safety
