About the role

Crane Operator The Crane Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials on a work site using a crane in a safe manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
  • (This is a representative list of the duties the position may be asked to perform and is not intended to be all-inclusive.)Operate the crane to lift, move, and position machinery, equipment, products, or other large objects
  • Use proper hoisting attachments and observe the load to ensure that it is secure
  • Compare the load weight with the capacity of the crane in order to prevent overloading
  • Perform a pre-inspection on any equipment operated
  • Assist in the maintenance and routine housekeeping of the work area and equipment being used
  • Manipulate crane controls in a safe manner and direct the crane to the appropriate destination while effectively communicating via written, oral, and/or signaled instructions
  • Obey and follow all safety rules and policies
  • Wear all appropriate safety equipment (PPE)
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor
  • Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent education 2+ years crane operating experience
  • Must be certified as a crane operator through a third party certifier
  • Basic written and verbal skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
  • Must be reliable and have the ability to accept responsibility for his/her actions
  • For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
  • For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
