Summary: The Senior Professional Development Trainer is a catalyst for growth, empowering employees and leaders to reach their full potential through facilitating engaging, in-person learning experiences and innovative professional development programs. This role combines exceptional facilitation, instructional design, and coaching expertise to create meaningful learning journeys that inspire confidence, capability, and leadership at every level of the organization. Working closely with the Training and Development Manager and broader team, this individual will help shape and elevate key talent initiatives, including emerging leader, leadership development, and mentoring programs. As a trusted mentor, subject matter expert, and strategic learning partner, the trainer will champion a culture of continuous learning while ensuring development opportunities align with organizational priorities and long-term business goals. Beyond delivering impactful programs, this role serves as a driving force behind the enterprise learning strategy, building connections, fostering leadership excellence, and helping individuals translate learning into lasting performance and growth. This position is expected to facilitate in-person learning at least two days per week. Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDesign, facilitate in person, and continuously collaborate with the team to improve professional development programs. Lead the development and implementation of emerging leaders, leadership development, and mentoring programs. Facilitate complex, high-impact learning experiences for leaders, managers, and experienced employees. Provide individual and small-group coaching to support leadership development, performance improvement, and Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Conduct learning needs assessments and recommend development solutions aligned with organizational priorities. Work with the Training and Development Manager to consult with leaders and key stakeholders to identify capability gaps and define program objectives and outcomes. Use participation data, learner feedback, and performance indicators to evaluate program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and communicate results to stakeholders. Support change management and communication efforts associated with new learning programs and organizational initiatives. Ensure professional development programs align with and integrate effectively into broader organizational training initiatives. Partner with technical training, Human Resources, and enterprise learning teams to coordinate content, timing, and the learner experience. Apply advanced instructional design and adult learning principles to create engaging and effective in-person learning experiences. Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions and provide observation-based coaching to strengthen the effectiveness of facilitators, including early-career trainers and interns transitioning into trainer roles. Stay current on professional development and adult learning best practices and promote a culture of continuous learning across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned to support evolving leadership and organizational objectives. Travel and Facilitation RequirementsTravel required a minimum of one day per week. This position facilitates in-person classes a minimum of two days per week. Overnight stays may be required for conferences or other work-related travel once per month Minimum Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Training, Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and leading professional development or training content Demonstrated experience facilitating advanced or multi‑session training programs Experience providing coaching or developmental support to leaders or employees Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions without direct authority
