About the role

We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Event Sales & Marketing Manager to drive new business and expand our presence in the events market. This is an ideal opportunity for a polished, outgoing sales professional who knows how to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and turn connections into revenue. The right candidate will have a strong sales presence combined with a creative marketing mindset. Experience within hospitality, hotels, restaurants, catering, event venues, entertainment, or event sales would be particularly valuable. This is not simply an event-coordination position. We are looking for someone who will actively go out and generate business, develop referral relationships, network within the community, and create marketing initiatives that keep our company top-of-mind for all types of events.
Key Responsibilities: Proactively generate new event business through prospecting, networking, referrals, partnerships, outreach, and community involvement. Develop relationships with corporations, businesses, associations, nonprofit organizations, schools, universities, event planners, hotels, concierge teams, travel professionals, and other potential referral sources. Sell and promote a wide variety of events, including corporate functions, private celebrations, weddings, social events, fundraisers, holiday parties, meetings, networking events, and special occasions. Identify new markets and creative opportunities to increase event bookings and revenue. Manage the sales process from initial inquiry and relationship development through proposal, negotiation, follow-up, and closing. Maintain an active pipeline of prospective clients and consistently follow up on leads and opportunities. Represent the company at networking events, industry functions, trade shows, community events, and business organizations. Develop strategic partnerships with organizations and businesses that can generate recurring or referral business. Work closely with leadership to develop promotions, packages, campaigns, and special offers designed to attract new clients. Bring creative marketing ideas to the organization, including social media initiatives, email campaigns, community partnerships, promotional events, and other opportunities to increase visibility. Help develop compelling sales and marketing materials that showcase the company and its event capabilities. Build strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Track sales activity, leads, conversions, bookings, and revenue and provide regular reporting on results.
Qualifications: Demonstrated success in sales, business development, hospitality sales, event sales, or a related field. Strong ability to prospect and develop new business rather than relying solely on incoming leads. Excellent interpersonal, networking, presentation, and communication skills. Professional, polished, energetic, and comfortable representing the organization externally. Strong closing and negotiation skills. Creative marketing instincts and an understanding of how marketing can support sales. Comfortable using social media and digital marketing as tools for business development. Highly organized with strong follow-up skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and pursue them independently. Existing relationships within the hospitality, corporate, event-planning, or local business community are a plus.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
