Role: Senior Open Shift Virtualization Administrator

Duration:
6 months, with potential for FTE conversion We are looking for a Senior Open Shift Virtualization Administrator to manage and support enterprise virtualization environments using Red Hat Open Shift Virtualization / Kube Virt.
What you’ll do:
Administer and support Red Hat Open Shift and Open Shift Virtualization environments. Manage virtual machines, including provisioning, migration, cloning, snapshots, patching, and decommissioning. Support VMware-to-Open Shift Virtualization migrations. Troubleshoot Open Shift, Kubernetes, VM, networking, and storage issues. Work with RHEL, Kubernetes, Operators, CRDs, RBAC, and Open Shift tools such as oc/kubectl. Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and incidents. Work with networking and storage technologies such as Multus, OVN-Kubernetes, Ceph, and Open Shift Data Foundation. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks. Support security, patching, change management, and compliance requirements. Provide technical leadership and coordinate with infrastructure and operations teams.
Required Skills:
9+ years of enterprise virtualization/system administration experience. Hands-on experience with Open Shift Virtualization, Kube Virt, or similar Kubernetes-native virtualization. Strong Red Hat Open Shift administration experience. Strong RHEL/Linux administration experience. VMware/vSphere experience. Experience with VM migration and virtualization technologies. Experience with oc/kubectl, Operators, CRDs, and RBAC.Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. EX316 or equivalent certification preferred. VCP-DCV may also be considered.
