Concept Store ManagerJ'Adore Gallery, part of Clic, is seeking an experienced and passionate Concept Store Manager to lead our Hudson, New York location. Clic is a globally recognized lifestyle brand founded by Christiane Celle, known for its distinctive curation of contemporary photography, art, home décor, books, fashion, and objects from artists and designers around the world. J'Adore Gallery brings this point of view to Hudson through a carefully curated environment where art, photography, interiors, and design come together. We are looking for someone with a strong appreciation for art, photography, home design, and interiors who can create an elevated and welcoming experience for our clients while overseeing the day-to-day operations and commercial success of the gallery.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day operations of J'Adore Gallery, ensuring the space is consistently organized, beautifully presented, and reflective of the Clic aesthetic. Drive sales across fine art, photography, furniture, lighting, home décor, books, and design objects. Build and maintain relationships with collectors, interior designers, decorators, architects, and local clients. Provide knowledgeable, personalized guidance to clients selecting artwork and home pieces for their spaces. Develop a strong understanding of represented artists and photographers, including their work, editions, pricing, framing options, and backgrounds. Assist clients with art sales from initial inquiry through purchase, framing, delivery, and installation coordination. Maintain and evolve gallery merchandising and displays, thoughtfully integrating artwork, furniture, lighting, books, and decorative objects. Manage inventory, receiving, transfers, damages, special orders, and client follow-up. Maintain accurate records of artwork, editions, pricing, availability, and client inquiries. Recruit, train, schedule, and manage gallery staff while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Cultivate relationships within the Hudson community and identify opportunities to grow the gallery's local client base. Support gallery openings, artist events, exhibitions, installations, and special projects. Partner with Clic's buying, art, operations, and leadership teams on new arrivals, inventory needs, merchandising, and sales opportunities. Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to grow both gallery and home-design business. Maintain an organized client book and proactively follow up with collectors, designers, and prospective clients.
Qualifications:
Experience in gallery management, art sales, luxury home furnishings, interior design, photography, or high-end retail preferred. Strong knowledge of or genuine interest in contemporary art, photography, interiors, furniture, and design. Proven ability to build client relationships and drive sales in a service-oriented environment. Experience working with interior designers, collectors, or high-net-worth clientele is a plus. Strong visual merchandising and spatial styling instincts. Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through. Comfortable managing a team and taking ownership of a location's daily operations. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple client projects, orders, and operational priorities simultaneously. Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working independently. Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management, and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets preferred. Availability to work weekends and gallery events as needed.
