- Develop detailed mechanical and electrical quantity takeoffs.
- Build labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing for complete project scopes.
- Establish realistic crew compositions, production rates, durations, and construction sequencing.
- Develop project-specific labor and equipment cost models based on site conditions and schedule requirements.
- Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, exclusions, clarifications, and potential project risks.
- Prepare and maintain detailed BOQs and estimate workbooks.
- Solicit pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Perform subcontractor bid leveling and scope comparisons.
- Coordinate with operations, project management, engineering, procurement, and field leadership during estimate development.
- Participate in bid reviews, scope reviews, and project handoff meetings.
- Assist with value engineering and alternative construction methods to improve project cost and schedule.
- Maintain historical pricing, production rates, and cost data from completed and active projects.
- Support change order pricing and project cost analysis when required.
- Ensure estimates accurately reflect contractual requirements, schedule constraints, site logistics, and project-specific risks.

- The candidate should understand the relationship between mechanical installation, electrical installation, civil activities, and project sequencing when developing estimates.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
