About the role
- Prospect, network, and develop new business opportunities throughout your assigned territory
- Build and maintain relationships with manufacturing, industrial, municipal, maritime, and commercial customers
- Conduct on-site visits to understand customer operations and identify needs
- Recommend equipment, repair services, and technical solutions based on customer challenges
- Manage and grow existing accounts while developing new business
- Create and deliver quotes, proposals, and follow-up communications
- Build relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers, engineers, operations leaders, and purchasing teams
- Complete approximately 15-20 qualified prospecting calls per day
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in CRM and sales systems
- Provide exceptional customer service before and after the sale
- 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals
- Strong prospecting and business development skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort discussing technical products or services
- Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented
- Highly coachable with a desire to learn
- Strong time management and territory planning skills
- Stable employment history demonstrating reliability and longevity
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
