About the role
- Performs precision electro-mechanical assembly tasks, including cleaning, mechanical assembly, and adhesive application
- Follows documented procedures and work instructions to assemble cryogenic coolers and sub-assemblies
- Performs data entry for travelers and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking systems
- Performs measurements and execute test procedures; accurately record and document results
- Performs hand soldering of cable harnesses and basic electrical connections
- Conducts incoming inspection of components using standard measurement tools and equipment
- Supports functional testing of sub-assemblies, including motors and other key cooler components
- Communicates results, observations, and issues to engineering and production personnel
- Maintains lab standards, including adherence to FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ESD protocols
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with the Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to use a microscope
- Must be able to work from equipment manuals, blueprints or sketches
- Must be able to use standard test equipment, such as digital multimeters or gauges
- Must be able to identify and report defects, nonconformances, and process issues
- Must be able to communicate orally, read, and write using the English language
