Job Description:
JOB PURPOSEThe Non-Conforming Material Analyst adheres to the strategic vision for Palmetto State Armory’s Quality Programs and Initiatives. This position reports directly to the Quality Analyst Supervisor.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Incoming Quality, Manufacturing, and Inventory departments to ensure delivery of quality products. This role plays a key role in maintaining consistent production standards and driving process improvements. The primarily focus is processing and disposition of scrap and non-conforming material (NCM).Process red-tagged items identified during production. Conduct daily reviews with Production to assess rejected materials. Categorize failure types for internal discrepancies. Monitor, organize, and dispose of scrap from production. Sort and organize NCM items by vendor. Assist with packaging and labeling of returned items. Execute bin and inventory transfers. Perform inventory adjustments in Net Suite. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform process compliance audits. Participate in ongoing training for Net Suite, WMS, and Excel. Process VRAs/RMAs for non-conforming materials and incoming quality issues. Communicate directly with vendors to initiate and coordinate returns. Research item history in Net Suite to support return decisions. Utilize T-Force and other shipping methods for product returns. Perform SKU conversions as needed. Maintain and update the Incoming QC log for MRB activities. Track and manage logs for all VRA’d items to ensure timely resolution. Assist with Excel tasks related to tracking and reporting. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS1 year in a manufacturing environment required. Able to multi-task and work quickly. Must be willing to learn, adapt, and be flexible. Possess the ability to implement and manage change. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Be personally energetic, positive, and be able to think laterally to follow through with reasoned decision making.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work overtime as needed. Manufacturing and warehouse environment - prone to temperature extremes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work conditions include sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting. Able to lift 50 lbs. DIRECT REPORTSNone Must be at least 18 years old.
