Job Summary:
Responsible for the administration of anesthesia. Administers anesthesia or sedation to patients undergoing a variety of surgical and non‑sururgical procedures. Develops and conducts pre‑anesthetic plans for patients and writes orders before, during, and after procedures appropriately. Works with and collaborates with providers caring for the patient. Communicates with patients, family members and others on the health care team. Evaluates and orders diagnostic tests as needed. Monitors patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, using current techniques to adjust the anesthesia plan as required. Ability to work with growth and development needs of all client populations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree required from an approved and accredited educational program in a specific area of advanced practice. Master’s degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) preferred.
Requires current, unencumbered licensure to practice as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) from the State Board of Nursing in the state(s) of practice and/or possession of multi‑state licensure privileges as required. CRNA certification is required and must be maintained through the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
