Job Description: General Manager (Warehouse Operations)- Raleigh (Wilson), NCWe are looking for a General Manager in the warehouse Operations field to join our team with strong leadership and multitasking skills and the ability to handle high volume/busy operations. Ability to foster and maintain a positive work environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Summary:
  • Plans, directs, or coordinates the location warehouse operations.
  • Responsible for the total operation and financial success of the facility. Management areas include plant operations, compliance, safety, business development, employee management, and meeting corporate financial goals.
  • Develop strategic plan for optimized productivity.
  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivational work environment, and implementing innovative changes.
  • Adhere to company standards for excellence and quality
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
  • Provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
  • Bilingual English-Spanish preferred
  • General Accountabilities
  • Reviews financial statements, sales reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the production, pricing, sales, or distribution of products.
  • Directs administrative activities concerning product production or services.
  • Prepares staff work schedules and assigns specific duties.
  • Monitors suppliers to ensure goods or services are provided within budgetary limits.
  • Directs or coordinates budgets to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency.
  • Establishes or implements departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures.
  • Plans or directs activities such as sales promotions.
  • Sets prices for goods or services based on forecasts of customer demand.
  • Manages the movement of goods into and out of to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Required skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in a managerial role
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Proven ability to develop and achieve financial plans
  • Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
  • Work Environment
  • Combination of office and warehouse environments.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, moving equipment, forklifts, and warehouse traffic.
  • Requires flexibility to work extended hours as business needs require.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, move, and carry up to 25 pounds Ability to perform warehouse duties involving standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, squatting, climbing, and repetitive motions throughout the workday. Ability to read computer screens, documents, labels, and inventory information and safely navigate warehouse and office environments. Ability to safely perform the visual demands of the position, including reading labels, inventory records, and computer screens; identifying hazards; operating equipment safely; and maintaining awareness of the surrounding work environment.
