Career Path This is a full-cycle, client-facing search role—not a research-only seat. The right person will have the platform, client access, and support to build a valuable desk, develop a team, and create substantial long-term earnings through performance.
Responsibilities: Build and grow a search desk within alternatives and investment management Develop relationships with senior decision-makers and originate new mandates Leverage existing tier-one client relationships to generate repeat and expanded business Own searches from client development through placement and closing Recruit investment professionals from Analyst through MD/Partner level Execute searches across Front Office investing, Investor Relations, Capital Formation, Marketing, Product, and Client Relations Help emerging investment managers build high-caliber teams from day one Build a market-leading network of candidates, investors, and clients Hire, train, and lead a team as your desk grows Profile Existing executive-search, recruiting, sales, business-development, financial-services, or consulting experience Ready to take ownership of client relationships and revenue generation Comfortable engaging senior investment professionals Strong communicator with sound judgment and a high level of drive Interested in investment management the alternatives industry Ambitious to build a long-term desk and team within JHB Search
