Position Summary:The Senior Audiovisual (AV) Project Manager is responsible for leading large-scale, complex AV/IT projects, including new construction and tenant improvement initiatives ranging from $100K to $3M+. This role manages projects from planning through execution, commissioning, and closeout, with responsibility for scope, budget, schedule, risk, and overall project delivery.This individual serves as a key point of contact for clients and project stakeholders and works closely with installation teams, technical personnel, general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes. TheSenior Audiovisual (AV) Project Manager may manage multiple projects simultaneously and provides leadership and direction to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.Skills & Core StrengthsComplex AV/IT project managementConstruction and tenant improvement projectsProject scope, budget, and schedule managementClient and stakeholder relationship managementRisk management and problem-solvingTeam leadership and coordinationChange management and project documentationCross-functional collaborationStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesWhat You'll DoManage large-scale, complex, and high-profile AV/IT projects from planning through commissioning and closeoutPlan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously while managing scope, schedule, budget, resources, and project risksDevelop and maintain project schedules, milestones, responsibilities, and deliverables throughout project executionLead project implementation teams, assign responsibilities, and ensure teams have the information and resources needed for successful executionServe as a key point of contact for clients, general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teamsPartner with estimating and internal teams to identify project resource needs, including labor, logistics, materials, and specialty toolsMonitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and take appropriate action to keep projects on trackManage project changes and maintain accurate documentation, including schedules, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout documentationSupport client and project team communication, including navigating challenging conversations and resolving project-related concernsCoordinate with technical and installation teams during system testing, commissioning, punch list activities, and project closeoutProvide leadership and guidance to project management and implementation teams as neededWhat We're Looking forAssociate degree or equivalent relevant experience required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred5+ years of project management experience within the AV/IT, technology integration, construction, or related industryExperience managing complex projects, including new construction and tenant improvement environmentsStrong understanding of project scope, scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, change management, and risk managementExperience managing client, contractor, subcontractor, consultant, and internal stakeholder relationshipsStrong written, verbal, negotiation, and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms such as MS Project, MS Planner, Teamwork, or similar toolsPMI PMP and AVIXA CTS certifications preferred, or ability to obtain them within 1 - 2 yearsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities independently in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel for projects, including overnight travel ranging from one night to several weeks as neededAbout UsAvidex is a leading AV/IT integration company delivering innovative technology solutions across corporate, healthcare, education, and enterprise environments.
