Your mission is to help shape how Rumpl shows up in the world through thoughtful, consistent, and impactful design that builds brand equity, drives engagement, and deepens emotional connection with our consumers.You'll bring ideas to life through digital campaigns, social storytelling, campaign design, and print materials, balancing brand integrity with fresh, innovative thinking, and exercising real judgment on how a brief should come together. As a collaborative problem-solver and meticulous craftsman, you'll elevate Rumpl's visual presence and help ensure that every piece of content we publish looks and feels distinctly Rumpl, largely on your own steam.Creative Asset DevelopmentDesign and produce creative assets for social media, site content, email sends, and other owned and paid channels, from concept through final filesOwn creative tasks end-to-end, balancing strategic intent with design craft and making sound creative calls without needing every decision reviewedEnsure all creative aligns with Rumpl's brand guidelines and campaign narrativesAdapt and resize assets for multiple platforms and formats while maintaining consistencyCreate responsive layouts and visual systems for Rumpl.com and digital platforms in FigmaEnsure designs adhere to best practices for web, email, and accessibility while optimizing for performance and load timesGTM (Go To Market) ExecutionIndependently execute GTM creative, from brief to delivery, with light oversight from the Director of Visual DesignParticipate in ideation during creative brainstorms, mood boards, and storyboarding sessionsCollaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Ecommerce, Product, and Sales to ensure creative solutions meet business objectives, fielding and clarifying briefs directlyApply brand guidelines consistently and help evolve them thoughtfully when necessaryContent Production & SupportManage production design tasks including prepping final files, exporting assets, and managing delivery, with ownership of your own queueMaintain and evolve digital design systems, templates, and librariesSupport content shoots and external creator collaboration, including on-set direction when neededCreative Innovation & ExplorationBring fresh thinking, new techniques, and emerging trends into Rumpl's creative outputExplore new approaches in typography, motion, color, and digital storytellingSupport competitive audits and mood board development for seasonal inspirationWhat You'll BringCompetenciesDesign Craft & Execution: expert eye for typography, color, composition, and layout, backed by a track record of shipped workOperational Excellence: combines creative problem-solving with meticulous organization and proactive task management, with minimal need for oversightDigital Fluency: designs for responsive environments and multi-platform storytellingCollaboration & Communication: works cross-functionally with clarity, accountability, and a solutions-oriented mindset, comfortable fielding ambiguous requests directlyBrand Stewardship: upholds and strengthens Rumpl's brand identity through every execution, and can flag when something is off-brandCreative Curiosity: brings fresh ideas, inspiration, and innovation to the workAttention to Detail: maintains a high standard of quality and precision in all deliverablesSkills & General ExperienceProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) requiredProficiency in Figma and responsive design requiredStrong command of typography, layout, composition, and digital best practicesProven experience preparing final files and running creative production workflows independentlyDemonstrated ability to deliver high-quality design on time and on brief with minimal directionProven success owning projects cross-functionally and translating ambiguous or incomplete briefs into strong creativeMotion or video design skills (After Effects, Premiere Pro) a plusExperience with PDP Photoshop templates a plusFamiliarity with email marketing and dark mode / light mode design a plusEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent experience)4 to 6 years of professional design experience, with meaningful ownership of projects at a consumer brand or agencyPortfolio showing strong creative problem-solving, range, and storytelling across digital platformsPassion for outdoor lifestyle, sustainability, and design innovationWork SetupThis is a hybrid position based in Portland, OR, with in-office days Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. This role is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office/studio environment, with occasional on-site support for photo and video shoots or creative production (roughly 5% travel).Why You?
