Essential Functions / Responsibilities Perform complex level technical and integrated audits, and provide consulting services to the organization’s management and staff.
Conduct internal audit interviews, testing steps, and document accurate test results within audit scope.
Produce final results and formalize discussion on audit findings and associated risks based on audit scope objectives.
Prepare and edit audit reports, and present observations and/or recommendations including follow‑up when necessary.
Consult and advise department functions regarding internal controls and security.
Communicate audit test results and findings to client based on a risk‑based methodology.
Recommend improvements in company policies, procedures and internal controls based on audit results.
Assist with the development of audit tools, techniques and audit programs.
Assist outside auditors in audits of company’s technology and operations.
Provide assistance to less experienced auditors as required.
Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
Minimum Qualifications Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business or related area.
Typically 5 or more years of related experience in internal audit or public accountancy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels across the organization on matters requiring a high degree of sensitivity.
Effective project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of current and evolving business operations and the ability to apply that knowledge in the course of audit functions.
Background and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications Certification: CPA and/or CIA.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
Physical Requirements Work conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation and Benefits The base pay scale for this position in Phoenix, AZ / Chicago, IL / Washington, DC is USD 95,000 – 116,000 per year. Candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
