Join a mission-driven team that's committed to putting children and families first.Position: Patient Service RepresentativeLocation:San Antonio, TXHours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmIn officeTHE POSITION:We are looking for a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team. Our Customer Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you'll find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day. You will also be surrounded by a close-knit and supportive group who has the same dedication to serving medically fragile children and their families.Creates and confirms delivery tickets for Durable Medical Equipment (DMECreates IV Delivery Tickets (as applicable)Assists internal and external customers and staff through the Customer Service help desk, phone calls, email or face to face encountersServes as the Patient Services Coordinator of the Day (COD) (as applicable)Maintains database of physician ordersPerforms call-outsProcesses returned mailProcesses 'to dos'Obtains patient supply orders via telephone, fax or helpdeskObtains physician orders for products and services providedObtains and assists with new patient referrals via telephone and completes the DME intakeUpdates patient account information on an ongoing basis, including patient change formsAddresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigationCoordinates courier service with appropriate staff for deliveries as neededMaintain compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external electronic medical record (EHR) accessOn-call duties/rotation may be required based on business needOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or 1–6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/ admissions experience preferredExceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills.
