About the role
We have been retained by a long-term client in search of an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety and environmental initiatives across a complex manufacturing operation. The position is located just south of the Louisville, KY area. Join a rapidly growing, privately held distilled spirits manufacturer where you'll have the opportunity to build the safety culture, drive meaningful change, and influence the future of EHS across the organization. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants to do more than maintain existing programs. The organization is looking for someone who can enhance processes, strengthen employee engagement, and help build a world-class safety culture in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What You'll Do:
Lead and continuously improve safety and environmental programs across manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations Drive a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, training, and accountability initiatives Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations Partner closely with operations leadership to identify risks and drive continuous improvement Oversee contractor safety, workers' compensation, audits, inspections, and emergency response planning Lead, coach, and develop EHS team members while helping establish the long-term safety vision for the site
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and regulatory compliance Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred:
10+ years of EHS experience Previous leadership or management experienceCSP, CIH, or similar professional certifications Experience within food & beverage, distilled spirits, packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments Why Consider This Opportunity?
