About the role
Limagrain Cereal Seeds (LCS) is currently seeking a Seed Production Associate to assist the production manager with Breeder seed production, conditioning, processing, and packaging to ensure seed purity is maintained.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate small-seed field production activities and operate agricultural equipment. In this role, you will work closely with growers, federal and state agencies, contractors, and LCS staff to secure required field inspections, seed testing, and phenotypic data for breeder seed production.
Key responsibilities include:
Implementing and maintaining LCS Quality Assurance protocols. Coordinating seed production activities with internal and external stakeholders. Collecting and managing field inspection, testing, and production data. Operating, maintaining, and repairing small-grain production and seed-processing equipment. Supporting field operations to ensure high-quality seed production and compliance with regulatory requirements. Assisting with other production, processing, and research activities as required.
Qualifications:
Practical knowledge and experience in crop production and/or seed production. Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or a related field. Experience in agronomy, agriculture, or horticulture preferred. Experience managing field crops preferred. Prior experience operating and maintaining farm equipment. Experience with cereal crop production and related agronomic practices preferred. Optional but
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A) issued by the State of Colorado. Valid forklift operator certification. Holds Colorado Pesticide Applicator Licenses, including General, Agricultural Weed Control, Seed Treatment, Agricultural Plant Disease, and Agricultural Insect Control, issued by the Colorado Department of Agriculture.
