Territory Account Manager – B2B Sales Our client is seeking a Territory Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of business customers within an assigned U.S. territory. This remote position combines account management, relationship development, and new business generation. The successful candidate will be a proactive, customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building long-term relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and taking ownership of results. Responsibilities:
Manage and develop relationships with existing business customers Identify opportunities to expand revenue within assigned accounts Prospect for and develop new customer relationships Create and execute an effective territory sales plan Conduct regular customer meetings virtually and in person Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and business priorities Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close business Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and forecasts Collaborate with internal teams to support customers and resolve issues Monitor territory performance and adjust priorities accordingly Represent the organization professionally at customer meetings and business events Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Five or more years of successful B2B sales, territory management, or account management experience Demonstrated success growing existing accounts and developing new business Experience managing a geographically dispersed customer portfolio Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills Self-directed working style with a high level of accountability Ability to organize and prioritize activity across multiple customer relationships Experience using a CRM to manage sales activity, opportunities, and forecasts Ability and willingness to travel regularly within an assigned territory Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Experience working within a business-to-business sales environment is helpful but not required.
