Tax Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing public accounting team. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing complex tax returns, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality tax planning and compliance services across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have strong technical tax knowledge, leadership experience, and a client-focused mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Review complex individual, partnership, corporate, and trust tax returns
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients
- Research and resolve federal and state tax issues
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and seniors
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Assist with business development and practice growth initiatives
- Ensure compliance with firm standards and tax regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldCPA license preferred or actively pursuing 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Experience reviewing 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S returns
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, or similar
- Ability to manage multiple priorities during busy season
- Preferred Industry Experience
Construction, Real Estate, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Nonprofit, or Professional Services
