About the role
To support effective loan recovery efforts, the full-time Senior Loan Counselor will counsel borrowers on loss mitigation solutions, negotiate repayment arrangements, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
Initiate proactive contact with delinquent borrowers to reestablish payment patterns and reduce defaults
Negotiate and restructure repayment plans to help borrowers avoid foreclosure while adhering to investor and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to maximize collection efforts and support resolution strategies
Required qualifications:
High school diploma (or equivalent) required
Knowledge of investor and insurer guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac) preferred
Previous experience in collections and default loan servicing preferred
Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology platforms, including MSP, is highly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong typing and data entry skills required
