Panku Inc. is a Southern California General Contractor and Real Estate Developer specializing in ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and institutional construction.Unlike traditional contractors, we both develop and build our own projects. Our team is involved from land acquisition and entitlement through construction and project completion, providing unique exposure to every phase of project delivery.This is an outstanding opportunity to work directly with the Owner/Developer, Project Manager, Superintendent, Architects, Engineers, and Major Trade Partners while developing the skills needed to become a future Project Manager.About the RoleThe Project Engineer plays a critical role in keeping the project organized, coordinated, and on schedule.You will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent while coordinating subcontractors, architects, consultants, suppliers, and field personnel throughout the entire construction process.Primary ResponsibilitiesShop Drawings & Submittals (Primary Responsibility)Manage the Procore Submittal Log Review subcontractor shop drawings for completeness Coordinate architect and consultant reviews Track approvals and proactively prevent schedule delays Follow up with subcontractors and design teams Distribute approved submittals to field staff Maintain complete project documentation RFIs & Design CoordinationPrepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) Coordinate design clarifications with architects and engineers Track drawing revisions and Architect Supplemental Instructions (ASIs) Maintain current construction documents Communicate revisions to subcontractors and field teams Procurement CoordinationTrack long-lead materials and equipment Coordinate vendors and suppliers Monitor fabrication schedules Coordinate deliveries Support procurement activities to keep construction ahead of schedule Project AdministrationMaintain project documentation in Procore Coordinate subcontractor communications Assist with project scheduling Prepare meeting agendas and minutes Track project action items Support Change Order Requests (CORs) Maintain project logs and document control Project CloseoutCoordinate as-built drawings Assemble O&M manuals Collect warranties Prepare final turnover documentation Support owner closeout and project turnover QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2–5 years of experience with a Commercial General Contractor Experience managing: Shop Drawings Submittals RFIs Ability to read construction drawings and specifications Strong organizational and communication skills Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities PreferredGround-up multifamily construction Mixed-use developments Podium construction Commercial General Contractor experience Procore Bluebeam Revu Microsoft Project Compensation & BenefitsWe offer a competitive compensation package including:$90,000–$125,000 annual salary (DOE) Annual Performance Bonus Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Professional Development Long-Term Career Growth Opportunities Why Join Panku?At Panku, Project Engineers don't just process paperwork—they help build projects.
