About the role
Substitute Night Custodian We are seeking two Substitute Night Custodians to maintain a clean, safe, and secure school environment during evening hours after students and staff have left for the day. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, the cafeteria, and other school facilities; emptying trash; vacuuming, mopping, and restocking supplies. Custodians may also assist with setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for school events and ensuring buildings are properly secured at the end of each shift. Candidates must follow established cleaning procedures, safety standards, and district policies while working independently with minimal supervision. Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to work at various school campuses as needed are essential. The position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods. These temporary positions are scheduled for 3.75 hours per day, beginning at 4:00 p.m., and may lead to permanent employment based on district needs and performance.
