Job Description Job Description About the Role: JJ Bus & Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Diesel Technician with A/C certifications to join our team in the Raleigh, NC area! We are a growing and expanding company in the School Bus industry. Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered school buses and trucksPerform and maintain NC school buses to NC state standards. Perform NC 30-day inspectionsPerform A/C system inspections, repairs, and recharges on heavy-duty vehiclesConduct preventive maintenance services including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checksTroubleshoot electrical, engine, transmission, and drivetrain issuesUtilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve mechanical faultsComplete accurate repair orders and maintenance documentationEnsure all work meets safety standards and DOT compliance requirements, as well as NC state standards Requirements: Proven experience as a Diesel Technician working on buses, trucks, or other heavy-duty vehiclesEPA Section 609 A/C Certification required or ability to acquireASE Certifications in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck or School Bus is preferredStrong knowledge of diesel engine systems, HVAC, and electrical diagnosticsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagramsMust supply own set of professional hand toolsValid driver's license required; CDL a plusKnowledge and experience working with Cummins Insite, J-Pro, Allison Doc, and other diagnostic software programs About Us: JJ Bus & Truck Repair Inc has built a strong reputation in the Raleigh, NC area as a trusted name in commercial vehicle repair and maintenance, especially in the school bus industry.
