About the role
- Sandblast surfaces or remove rust as necessary
- Perform pre-painting activities on parts in preparation for painting/fabrication
- Mix and apply paint or other coatings
- Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications
- Assist to appropriately rig large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings
- Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures with the respect to the storage and handling of materials in the area
- High school diploma or GED certificate a plus 1+ years industrial painting or sandblasting experience
- Experience working in a down draft spray booth
- Knowledge of surface preparation to ensure proper coating adhesion
- Ability to work in very confined spaces or at heights up to 20 feet in the air
- Physical stamina
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate equipment such as simple hand tools, spray guns, cleaning equipment, a tape measure, and an overhead crane
