Role Description: The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time remote role responsible for organizing, supporting, and engaging volunteers across Rainer. NGO’s programs and initiatives. In this position, the coordinator will recruit and onboard new volunteers, match them with appropriate roles, and ensure they receive clear guidance, training, and resources. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining volunteer schedules, tracking participation and impact, and serving as a primary point of contact for volunteer questions and concerns. The coordinator will collaborate with program leads to understand upcoming needs, communicate opportunities to volunteers, and develop outreach efforts to attract new participants. This role also involves monitoring volunteer feedback, improving processes, and helping create an inclusive, motivating environment where volunteers can learn, grow, and contribute effectively.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training skills to coordinate activities, provide guidance, and support ongoing development. Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build relationships, resolve issues, and communicate expectations clearly. Candidates should possess experience in Community Outreach and engagement to attract new volunteers and promote organizational initiatives. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple volunteer projects and schedules in a remote environment. Candidates should be comfortable with basic digital tools (e.g., email, online collaboration platforms, volunteer management systems) and remote communication methods. Prior experience coordinating volunteers, working in a non-profit setting, or managing community programs is highly beneficial. A commitment to inclusivity, empathy, and creating positive social impact, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a distributed volunteer team.
