About the role

Key Responsibilities: Perform thermal and physical testing of fibers, yarns, fabrics, and finished garments/products. Operate and maintain laboratory testing instruments and equipment. Conduct testing according to established laboratory procedures and applicable industry standards. Accurately record test data, observations, and results while maintaining proper laboratory documentation. Assist with sample preparation, conditioning, measurement, and evaluation. Evaluate materials for physical performance, quality, durability, and other specified properties. Follow laboratory safety procedures, quality requirements, and established testing protocols. Support equipment checks, calibration activities, and routine laboratory maintenance. Ensure testing is performed in accordance with applicable standards, including ASTM, AATCC, ISO, ANSI/ISEA, and NFPA.Communicate test results and any unusual observations or testing issues to the appropriate laboratory personnel. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a textile, materials, or physical testing laboratory preferred. Basic knowledge of textile materials, including fibers, yarns, fabrics, and garments. Familiarity with ASTM, AATCC, ISO, ANSI/ISEA, or NFPA test methods is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow written procedures. Ability to operate laboratory equipment and work effectively in a team environment.
