About the role
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery
- Follow production schedules and meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to improve production processes
- Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment
- Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures
- Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized
- Check the quality of products
- Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products
- Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns
- Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed
- Skills/Abilities Needed:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary
- Ability to troubleshoot and multitask
- Basic mathematic skills
- Team player who is reliable and trustworthy
- Maintains a clean and safe work area
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent; required
- Technical degree or certification, preferred
- Experience with 5s, preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required
- Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred
- Some electrical, preferred
- Overhead crane, preferred
- Quality control experience, preferred
- Forklift experience, required
- Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping
