Role Description: The Hairstylist Intern will support the salon team with day-to-day activities, including preparing stations, assisting with shampoos, basic blow-drying, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the studio. Under guidance, the intern will observe and practice foundational hair styling techniques, learn about product usage and hair care, and assist with client consultations as appropriate. The role includes greeting guests, supporting scheduling and check-out processes, and helping ensure a smooth and positive client experience. This is an internship role that is on-site and based in Glen Mills, PA, with hands-on training and mentorship to develop professional salon skills.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess foundational skills or education in Hair Styling and Cosmetology. Candidates should possess an understanding of Hair Care, including basic product knowledge and healthy hair practices. Candidates should possess strong Customer Service and Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members. Enrollment in or completion of a cosmetology program is preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on tasks in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and follow salon protocols and safety standards. Professional appearance, punctuality, and reliability are expected.
