About the role

A global engineering and infrastructure organization is seeking a Director of Procurement to lead its North American procurement function. This is a senior leadership role for someone with deep experience in project/EPC procurement, complex supplier contracts, and procurement transformation.
The Role: You will lead a 20+ person procurement organization spanning project procurement, services, and manufacturing/materials, with four direct reports.
Key responsibilities include: Lead the North American procurement organization and regional strategy. Oversee procurement supporting large, complex engineering and infrastructure projects. Lead sourcing and negotiations for major supplier, subcontractor, and services agreements. Partner closely with engineering, project leadership, operations, manufacturing, and finance. Assess and strengthen the existing procurement organization, including team capability, structure, and performance. Drive supplier performance, cost improvement, risk mitigation, and continuity of supply. Support Make-vs-Buy, localization, and strategic sourcing decisions. Manage commercial and contractual risk during supplier negotiations. Align regional execution with global procurement strategies and processes. Lead procurement transformation, integration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For: 15+ years of procurement/supply-chain experience with 8+ years in senior leadership. Project/EPC procurement experience is required. Experience leading procurement organizations of 15+ people. Significant procurement responsibility across complex, multi-supplier projects. Strong supplier contract negotiation and commercial experience. Background in infrastructure, transportation, EPC/construction, power, aerospace, industrial engineering, or similar project-driven industries. Experience leading organizational change, integration, or procurement transformation. Ability to work effectively with engineering and technical stakeholders. Experience operating within a global or matrixed organization. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred.
