This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead progress, drive meaningful impact, and leave a legacy of smarter, more connected transportation networks.In the role of Area Professional Services Manager, we'll count on you to:Be responsible to the Area Manager to develop, coordinate, monitor and improve technical competencies of area staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.Lead and monitor development and training of area staff in technical and business competencies.Oversee workload balancing and ensure qualified staffing of project teams.Lead quality assurance efforts to implement QA/QC Program activities striving for continuous improvement.Monitor project QC Review activities including assignment of experienced and qualified reviewers.Lead and monitor activities for continuous improvement including development and use of technical standards, procedures, best practices and lessons learned.Lead and participate in project reviews and support project teams with management of claims and losses.Lead the Area mentoring initiative.Oversee technical and digital delivery evolution, in collaboration with subject matter experts.Work with AM to streamline and coordinate business processes consistent with Area, corporate policy and MOA.Oversee and ensure implementation of quality, standards, and best practices.Provide leadership to assigned business class leaders, including the cross-sector leaders.Collaborate with Area operations, market sectors, business classes, and delivery leaders.Participate in Area strategic planning and plan implementation.Support area activities related to hiring and retaining key staff.Serve as a champion for BGX opportunities.Support communication and coordination within all business groups.Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications:Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in a role focused on understanding and solving client issues in the area's Quality, Transportation, Transit, Rail, Aviation and design practice.History of successful project and/or program management execution with a focus on quality technical delivery and project leadership.Demonstrated success in cultivating client relationships to win pursuits and execute projects, especially in the local NY/NJ markets.A passion for developing a culture of qualityStrong skills in mentoring and developing staff to have fulfilling careers at HDRExcellent written and verbal communication skills.A team-first collaborative attitude.Self-motivated requiring minimal oversight.Well organized with multi-tasking skills.Able to work under and meet tight deadlines.New York and/or New Jersey PE (or demonstrated ability to obtain one by comity within 6 months of hire).Our CommitmentAs employee owners, we all have a role in creating an inclusive environment where each of us is welcomed, valued, respected and empowered to bring our authentic selves to work every day.
