Role Description:
The Quality Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in North Manchester, IN, responsible for overseeing and continuously improving all quality systems and processes. This role manages quality control activities on the production floor, including inspections, testing, documentation, and resolution of nonconformances. The Quality Manager develops and maintains quality procedures, work instructions, and standards, and leads root-cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with production, engineering, and customer-facing teams. Daily responsibilities include monitoring key quality metrics, conducting internal audits, supporting customer audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry and customer requirements. The role also involves training and coaching team members on quality best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting new product launches from a quality perspective.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with quality management systems, including procedure development, document control, and internal auditing. Strong skills in quality control and assurance activities such as inspection, testing, measurement, and nonconformance management. Proficiency in problem-solving and root-cause analysis methods (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, corrective and preventive actions).Familiarity with manufacturing environments, preferably involving molding, die cutting, assembly, or similar production processes. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret quality data and metrics to drive process improvements and report performance. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and interacting with customers and suppliers. Experience leading or supporting continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in manufacturing quality. Proven ability to organize workload, manage multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
