Full-Time Housekeeper / Household Assistant We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Housekeeper / Household Assistant to care for a beautifully appointed 3,100-square-foot residence in Fort Lauderdale. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating an impeccably clean, welcoming, and well-organized home environment and understands the high standards associated with private household service and also loves animals. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. The home include dogs and cats, and the successful candidate must be comfortable working around pets while ensuring a consistently pristine environment. Previous experience in private service essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of animals Take dogs out regularly and clean up after Feed all animals Give animals their medicine Clean cats’ litter box Clean up animal accidents Play with dogs and give them attention Daily Housekeeping & Cleaning Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize all living areas daily Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas Maintain floors, surfaces, fixtures, appliances, and furnishings to exceptional standards Keep the home neat, orderly, and guest-ready at all times Make beds daily and change linens Wash, dry, fold, organize, and store laundry each day Iron and steam clothing, linens, and household textiles Wash dishes, load and unload dishwashers, and keep kitchen areas spotless throughout the day Perform deep-cleaning projects as necessary to preserve an immaculate home environment Detail bathrooms after showers Laundry & Garment Care Manage all household laundry on a daily basis Iron, steam, and properly care for clothing and delicate garments Organize closets, drawers, and wardrobes Ensure clothing, bedding, and linens remain in excellent condition Household Organization Oversee closets, storage areas, cabinets, and household inventories. Keep laundry rooms, utility spaces, and pantries orderly and well-maintained. Monitor household supplies and communicate replenishment needs. Assist with seasonal projects Keep refrigerators clean at all times
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PMOccasional overnight, weekend shifts, and travel with animals (there is a second home home in the Hamptons, NY, and flexibility to travel to this location is highly desirable, but not necessary)
Compensation:
$40/hour plus up to $300 monthly stipend towards health insuranceNOTE: Candidates must be local and legally able to work in the USA without employer sponsorship.
