Role: Construction Project Manager (Global Store Development)

We are seeking an accomplished Construction Project Manager to lead the global delivery of our luxury retail environments. This role will own the full lifecycle of store buildouts, from onboarding general contractors and appointing architects and visualisation partners, through to handover and ongoing maintenance. The successful candidate will be a brand guardian, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest luxury standards, while maintaining rigorous health & safety compliance across all locations.
Key Responsibilities: Store Buildouts & Project Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of global store buildouts, including new openings, relocations, and refurbishments
  • Onboard and manage general contractors, architects, render and visualisation specialists, engineers, and other consultants
  • Prepare project briefs and ensure clear alignment between design intent, brand standards, and technical delivery
  • Manage project programmes, milestones, and critical paths to ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee site progress, quality control, snagging, and final handover Budget & Commercial Management
  • Develop, manage, and control project budgets across all store buildouts
  • Lead tendering, contractor negotiations, and appointment processes
  • Monitor cost plans, variations, and cash flow, ensuring projects remain within approved budgets
  • Provide clear and regular financial reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Identify risks and opportunities to protect margin without compromising quality Maintenance & Asset Management
  • Manage post-handover maintenance and defect rectification
  • Develop and oversee a global planned and reactive maintenance programme
  • Ensure all stores remain in immaculate condition, reflecting luxury brand standards Health & Safety Leadership
  • Own health & safety across all construction projects and operational retail sites
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practice
  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and contractor H&S reviews
  • Lead incident reporting and corrective action processes Stakeholder & Brand Collaboration
  • Partner with Design, Retail, Operations, and Finance teams to align delivery with commercial and brand objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for landlords, mall operators, and local authorities
  • Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and budgets clearly to leadership Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience delivering luxury retail store buildouts end-to-end
  • Strong experience onboarding and managing general contractors, architects, and visualisation/render specialists
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent commercial and contract management capability
  • Strong understanding of construction programmes, critical path planning, and risk management
  • Knowledge of global health & safety standards and local regulatory frameworks Personal Attributes
