About the role
Overview:
St. John’s Lutheran Church, Cherryville, is seeking a part-time Music Director and Organist.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate Sunday worship.
Direct weekly rehearsals.
Select music and prepare worship materials.
Collaborate with the pastor on weekly and seasonal services.
Provide leadership for special events.
Assist with church functions such as VBS.
Encourage choir and handbell volunteers.
Qualifications:
Growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Musical proficiency.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to teamwork.
Experience with blended worship and audio/visual background is preferred.
