About the role

Temporary Office Assistant We are looking for a full time Office Administrator to support a corporate headquarters in Arlington, VA. This is a highly visible position, sitting within the HR team and working closely with the office manager, senior leadership, and staff across the company. You will be the welcoming face of the office and a key point of support for HR and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Front Desk and Office Operations
  • Greet visitors, clients, and employees, and serve as the first point of contact for the office
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and respond to general inquiries
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
  • Keep the office clean, organized, and stocked with supplies
  • Coordinate with vendors and building management on maintenance and service needs
  • Suggest improvements to office procedures and shared spaces
  • Administrative Support
  • Prepare workspaces and coordinate arrangements for new hire onboarding
  • Draft and distribute internal communications and office documents
  • Support leadership and departments with scheduling, document prep, and special projects
  • Process office purchases and invoices and maintain organized records
  • Provide flexible administrative support as priorities shift
  • Event Coordination and Culture Support
  • Manage conference room scheduling and prepare spaces for meetings and events
  • Support company meetings, celebrations, and social events with logistics and setup
  • Help coordinate volunteer programs and charitable giving initiatives
  • Track event details, deadlines, and registrations
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • One to two years of experience in an administrative, operations, or office support role
  • Comfortable with a credit check as part of the background screening
  • Must be local to the DC or VA area
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and TeamsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Friendly, professional, and customer focused with strong verbal and written communication
  • Able to bend, reach, stoop, and twist, and lift or move materials up to 40 pounds
