About the role
- Develop and grow relationships with grocery chains, liquor retailers and key regional accounts
- Win new listings, placements, displays and promotional opportunities
- Manage existing key accounts and identify further growth opportunities
- Work closely with distributor teams to improve distribution, availability and retail execution
- Conduct regular market visits and maintain strong store-level relationships
- Monitor sales performance, account activity, product velocity and competitor performance
- Support new product launches and wider market-expansion plans
- Ensure products are correctly positioned, priced, stocked and merchandised
- Provide accurate sales updates, forecasts and market feedback
- The PersonWe are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- Strong wine-industry experience
- A successful background in off-premise sales
- Experience managing sizeable grocery, liquor or multi-site retail accounts
- Existing knowledge of the Chicago and wider Illinois market
- Strong relationships with retail buyers and distributor partners
- Evidence of growing revenue, distribution and account performance
- Experience representing an established or fast-growing wine brand
- The ability to operate independently in a hands-on, field-based environment
