About the role
- American Metals as a Truck Driver?
- Monday–Friday schedule with a 5:00 AM start for pre-trip inspections
- Set run serving Northeast Ohio and Southwest Pennsylvania, completed 3–5 times per week
- Home every evening—no overnight stays

- As a CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will:
- Begin your day at 5:00 AM by conducting a thorough pre-trip inspection in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Safely and efficiently operate a Class A commercial truck on the assigned route.
- Complete a set run serving Northeast Ohio and Southwest Pennsylvania approximately 3–5 times per week, with travel of about 3.5 hours each way.
- Make timely, accurate customer deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer questions or concerns at delivery locations.
- Actively unload, handle, and organize materials with care.
- Complete required transportation and delivery documentation accurately.
- Operate forklifts and use barcode RF scanners to support loading, unloading, and inventory accuracy.
- Work with the warehouse team to load your truck for the following day's deliveries.
- Assist with warehouse operations during non-route time.
- Follow company safety procedures during truck operation, deliveries, and warehouse activities.
- In a Truck DriverValid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) .Current DOT medical card .Previous truck driving or related experience preferred.
- Warehouse experience required.
- Experience operating a forklift and using an RF scanner.
- Safe driving record and a strong commitment to safe truck operation.
- Ability to begin work at 5:00 AM and complete the assigned delivery run.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the truck driver position, including frequent loading and unloading and entering and exiting the truck.
- Ability to walk approximately 10,000 steps daily—about five miles—on concrete floors .Strong work ethic and a dependable, customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, fellow truck drivers, and the warehouse team.
