Duration: Contract to hire
The role starts as a contract with the goal of converting to a full-time position. Full-time candidates from Day 1 will be considered though, so don’t let that stop you from applying if it is your requirement. We're working with an established company that's growing its cloud engineering team and taking on new work around APIs and integrations. They're looking for a hands-on AWS engineer who likes building things and figuring out why they broke. This isn't a traditional systems administration role. You'll build and support cloud solutions in AWS, work closely with application and integration teams, and help turn architecture standards into automated, repeatable setups the rest of the organization can rely on. When something goes wrong, you'll be one of the people who digs in across both the application and the infrastructure to find the real cause.
What you'll need:
- Strong hands-on AWS experience, especially with Lambda
- A solid understanding of APIs and REST integration patterns
- Comfort with Infrastructure as Code. Terraform familiarity is plenty, since the team already has established stacks.
- Scripting or programming experience, ideally PythonStrong troubleshooting skills across applications and cloud infrastructure
- Real comfort using AI coding and productivity tools like Copilot or ChatGPT. You'll have full access to them, and the team wants someone who knows how to get good results, not just ask a question.
- Nice to haveAWS SAM and Cloud
- Formation. They're the team's main pattern for building APIs, but strong engineers can pick them up on the job.
- CI/CD with GitHub Actions
- Containers and ECSDatabases such as PostgreSQL or DynamoDBThis team puts a lot of weight on how people work together. They want someone who's collaborative, open to feedback, and easy to work with. If you're technically solid and enjoy learning from the people around you, you'll fit right in.
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
