Job DescriptionPOSITION: MATERIAL HANDLER
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Current Need: 2 associates per shift Steel Services is seeking dependable, mechanically inclined Material Handlers to work in an industrial environment. Candidates should have previous industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, production, or other hands-on experience and demonstrate stability and longevity with previous employers.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Recruiters should prioritize candidates who:
  • Have previous industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, production, or mechanical experience
  • Are mechanically inclined and comfortable working with equipment and tools
  • Have demonstrated job longevity and stability with previous employers
  • Have a strong work history and dependable attendance
  • Are comfortable working in a physically demanding environmentCan independently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Are comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environmentCan work in a loud industrial environment
  • Have reliable transportation and are able to consistently report to work on time
  • Have their own steel-toe shoesSHIFT INFORMATIONSteel Services currently has three shifts available:
ShiftHours1st Shift7:00 AM – 3:30 PM2nd Shift3:00 PM – 11:30 PMSwing Shift6:00 PM – 2:30 AMPHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTSRecruiters must discuss the work environment with every candidate before submitting them. Candidates must understand that this position requires: Ability to lift 50 pounds independently Working in a non-climate-controlled facility Working in a loud industrial environment Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) Standing, walking, and performing physical/material-handling duties throughout the shiftPPESteel Services will provide: Hardhat GlovesAssociate must provide: Steel-toe shoes Hardhat and gloves are required to be worn at the job site.
