Where You Will Work: Join our dynamic and collaborative Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit, a 24-bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of the Geriatric patient population in need of mental and behavioral health treatment for various mental health diagnosis. Our team provides high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive and structured setting with staff who specialize in the behavioral/mental health population. CPI Required We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association Add additional preferred qualifications What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. It is the primary academic hospital for Mercer University School of Medicine, providing residency and fellowship programs for over 100 residents and is affiliated with multiple universities as a clinical education site.
