About the role

Job Description: Hilo Talent Partners has been engaged for the following search:
The Company National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) is a fast-growing, private equity-backed leader and premier provider in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services market. Trusted by more than 10,000 commercial entities, including over half of the Fortune 100, NAM pairs exceptional case management with market-leading ADR technology. Our nationwide panel of 2,600+ neutrals features top-tier former judges and practicing specialists across commercial litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, construction, and employment disputes.
The Opportunity: We are hiring a Director, Sales to own and grow the Personal Injury segment in the New York City metro area. You’ll focus on plaintiff and defense personal injury firms, and you’ll be the person PI litigators trust to understand their cases and connect them with the right neutral. This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role. It suits someone who earns experienced litigators' trust and can clearly explain what NAM and its neutrals bring to complex injury matters. Your time will split between two growth motions: Land & Expand (70–80%): Deepen relationships in existing NAM client firms. Consult with PI attorneys, learn their case dynamics, and grow volume by introducing top neutrals to new partners and practice groups. New Account Hunting (20–30%): Find, engage, and onboard new plaintiff and defense PI firms and key trial attorneys across the NYC metro area to grow NAM’s client base.
Key Responsibilities: Account Development & Expansion: Build trusted relationships with PI litigators, managing partners, and practice leaders across an assigned firm list, and grow case volume and active matters. Consultative Matchmaking: Learn each attorney’s case types (motor vehicle, premises liability, construction accidents, medical malpractice and more), along with their practice focus and matter dynamics, and make specific, tailored introductions to NAM neutrals. New Logo Acquisition: Identify and break into target PI firms, working through senior attorney relationships to start new partnerships with NAM. Market Insights & Strategy: Track trends in the NYC personal injury market, attorney moves, and shifts in case volume. Work closely with Marketing and Panel Relations so that neutral development matches real demand on the ground. Field Representation: Represent NAM at bar association events, trial lawyer and defense bar gatherings, CLE programs, and ADR conferences, building visibility where key PI relationships form. CRM & Activity Management: Maintain accurate tracking of key relationships, activity milestones, and pipeline growth in the CRM.
Qualifications: 7+ years selling professional services into law firms, ideally personal injury practices. Relevant backgrounds include ADR, litigation support, court reporting, expert witness services, records retrieval, medical record review, or litigation and pre-settlement finance. A record of meeting and beating revenue or volume targets, and of building and growing a high-value account base. Established relationships in the NYC plaintiff and/or defense personal injury community strongly preferred. High emotional intelligence and business sense, so you can hold credible, relationship-first conversations with senior litigators and firm leaders. Willingness to travel regularly across the NYC metro area for in-person meetings and industry events. Strong consultative “land and expand” skills, combined with a hunter’s drive and discipline.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
