Mining Engineer | Indianapolis, IN | Direct Hire$100,000–$110,000 Base + Annual Bonus | Relocation ConsideredMS Companies is partnering with an established organization in the aggregate mining and construction materials industry to hire an experienced Mining Engineer in Indianapolis, IN.This is an opportunity to take your mine-planning experience beyond the desk. Reporting to the Senior Mine Engineer, you’ll help develop and execute short- and long-term mine plans across a network of active quarry operations, with direct exposure to the projects and operational decisions that shape production, resource utilization, and the long-term development of each site. What makes this opportunity especially compelling is its breadth. Rather than working within a narrowly defined engineering function, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across the full mining lifecycle—including mine planning, stripping and cut/fill plans, mineral reserve evaluation, drilling and coring, permitting, reclamation, and field execution—while partnering closely with operations, production, quality, project management, and safety teams. We’re looking for a Mining Engineering graduate with professional mine-planning experience who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively in the field, and seeing engineering plans translate into real-world results. Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson, aggregate/quarry operations, and MSHA-regulated environments will position you especially well for this opportunity. If you’re looking for a role that combines technical mine planning with hands-on operational exposure and the opportunity to expand your expertise across the mining lifecycle, we’d like to connect.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
