About the role

Join us at YMCA Camp Roger (Kamas, UT) on Friday, May 15th from 1 PM - 5 PM for a day of volunteering to help reset the trails and area around camp and turn over cabins to get ready for a busy summer! YMCA Camp Roger aims to be a place where campers come to experience a fun, challenge-by-choice environment where they are supported by individuals who keep them safe at all times. Your work will help us to ensure we are meeting this goal as you assist our Camp Director with trail and brush clearing, firewood prep, and getting Camp Roger ready for incoming campers. Make it a family day! Children ages 13+ are welcome to volunteer as long as they're accompanied by a guardian. Guardians should create a Volunteer Matters account for the child/children and sign up on their behalf. Please wear pants and closed-toed shoes. Feel free to bring work gloves if you have them! Additional written directions to YMCA Camp Roger (4005 Soapstone Basin Rd, Kamas, Utah 84036) will be sent out to all volunteers before the volunteer experience. To sign up for this volunteer opportunity, please follow this link: https://ymcautah.volunteermatters.org/project-catalog/76

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
