Shop Assistant Position at National Water Main Cleaning Company-New England National Water Main Cleaning Company-New England is a leader in the field of trenchless rehabilitation in the United States, and is part of the Carylon Corporation, which includes fourteen companies that provide various environmental maintenance services. NWMCC specializes in municipal infrastructure inspection and rehabilitation.
Job Description: This employee will help support equipment maintenance, tool organization and overall facility upkeep. This person will report to the Superintendents and will help keep track of inventory levels, restock supplies and assist mechanics with any routine service and inspections.
Location: Rocky Hill, CT
Schedule: Day shift Monday-Friday. 40-45 hours per week
Pay: $18-$22/hour plus overtime.

Job Duties:
  • Maintains vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles.
  • Keeps shop and surrounding area neat and orderly.
  • Sweeps, shovels or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scraps from work areas.
  • Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
  • Assist in cleaning and restoring proper supplies in the shop.
  • Drive company vehicles, from vans to commercial trucks over 10,000 lbs
  • Deliver material to jobsites.
Job Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Ability to obtain DOT Medical Card
  • Previous shop assistant experience a plus
